We believe a recipe should be reliable, not a guess. We were tired of reading "caramelise onions: 5 minutes" when any chef knows it takes twenty.

That is why every recipe in The Cookbook is tested with a stopwatch. We calculate the heat-up time, the chopping, and the resting. If a stew takes 3 hours, we say 3 hours.

Because good food takes patience, and we respect your time enough to tell you the truth.

Behind the Stopwatch

Cook & Keeper did not begin in a commercial test kitchen. It started at a busy family dinner table, facing that exhausting, universal question: "What are we cooking tonight?" Like many passionate home cooks, founder Adam Dworak had always dreamed of writing his own cookbook. But as we increasingly trade the beautiful, stained paper notebooks of our grandmothers for the convenience of digital screens, he realized a modern cookbook had to be more than just a list of ingredients. It had to solve a daily problem.

We were tired of the aimless supermarket wandering—scrolling the aisles for inspiration, over-buying, and ultimately wasting food simply because we hadn't planned ahead. To fix this, Cook & Keeper was engineered around a deliberate meal scheduler. By managing your weekly menu and generating precise shopping lists, the system ensures you buy exactly what you need, and nothing you don't. We separate the thinking from the cooking, so you can actually enjoy the kitchen.

Operating from the UK, Adam chose to anchor the first volume of this digital library in the food he loves most: Polish cuisine. Written natively in English alongside Polish translations, the project was designed as a bridge. It serves the diaspora—those with deep Polish roots who navigate daily life in English but still crave the nostalgic, authentic flavors of home. It also serves as an open door for a global audience that is increasingly falling in love with the warmth and depth of Polish cooking.

Most digital platforms treat dishes in isolation. We don’t just write recipes; we build meals. Every dish in The Cookbook is part of a dynamic, interconnected ecosystem. A rich, slow-cooked Bitki might be elegantly paired with buttery mashed potatoes and a crisp carrot salad one day, then intelligently rotated with Kluski Śląskie and vibrant Kapusta Modra for a Sunday feast. Through our dedicated pairing modules and scheduler, recipes transition smoothly into complete, harmonious dining experiences.
